Who is responsible
Mr Buff is owned and published by TNAADO Inc. The illustrated mascots in each page’s byline are characters, not authors or reviewers. See The mascots.
Independence
No retailer, gym or restaurant pays for placement, ranking or a favourable mention. We have no affiliate links. Rankings are mechanical sorts by the number shown, not editorial picks. Where we express a view, such as in a guide, it is based on the data on the page and linked sources.
Sourcing rules
- Protein prices: the retailer’s own product page, with the price, pack size, servings and protein per serving as shown there.
- Gym prices and cancellation wording: the gym’s own pages, or a city’s official fee schedule for municipal facilities.
- Fast-food nutrition: each chain’s official nutrition document or calculator for the country shown.
- Health reference ranges: published guidance or position statements that we have read, linked on the page that uses them.
- Not allowed: forums, social posts, aggregator sites, memory, estimates and model guesses.
What we leave out
If a figure cannot be read from an official page, or fails a basic sanity check (for example protein grams that exceed what the calories could carry), it is dropped, and the page says what we could not confirm.
Dates
Every content page shows a Published date and an Updated date. Updated is the date the data on that page was last read from its sources, not the date a sentence was edited. Each row also shows its own read date.
How often data is refreshed
There is no automatic feed and we do not promise a refresh schedule. When the source pages are re-read, the data is replaced and the affected pages’ Updated dates change. Between refreshes a figure may be out of date; the read date on every row tells you how old it is.
Corrections
If you think a figure is wrong, email contact@tnaado.ca with the page address and a link to the official page that disagrees. We check the source, correct confirmed errors in place, update the date, and reply if you gave us an address. We do not remove a correct figure because a business would prefer it gone.
AI and automation
Comparisons, rankings and the analysis text on each page are computed from the recorded data by code, so a number in a sentence is the same number as in the table. The build rejects any row that lacks a source link and read date or fails the sanity checks.
